This part  isn't on Facebook, but I'm reading a book, The Road to Little Dribbling. It's by Bill Bryson and it's something of a reprise of a book he wrote many years ago about living in England. A point he makes in this book is that England is much richer now than it was then, but the things that made England one of the most pleasant places to live is the part that they are most assiduously getting rid of. This might be an example.
