The way our media and government sells us our current system of health care is the same way they talk us out of passing taxes (like vehicle and property taxes). They focus of the immediate costs and benefits while completely dismissing the long term costs and benefits. They also like to ignore the fact that usually the rich are the ones who are hurt and the poor and middle class benefit the most.
